of art through all of his schooling and
once he obtained a degree in advertising and marketing, he was ready to
hit the ground running. Today, he owns his own retail store in
Chillicothe, is noted as America’s number one folk artist, (which
has grown into a larger company known as Folk Art by David), and

Linda Spivey
Linda’s country style of painting
reflects what she loves…old crocks
and baskets, weathered wood and
cracked flower pots. She often uses
Scripture verses and simple poems
to reflect the ideas she values most.
Her art is a popular choice for home
product designs and appears in her
books, Welcome to our Family and
Grandma’s Special Memories. Meet
Linda at the “R” Unique Concepts showroom, 228 on Saturday,
August 18th from 11:00 – 12:00 with Legacy Products and 1:00

Don Huber
Born and raised in northwest Ohio, Don enjoys painting a variety
of different subjects, such as celebrity portraits on footballs, sports
illustrations for The Ohio State
University and “Morelscapes”. Don
tries to capture the excitement of the
Buckeye fans in a rural Ohio setting.
His paintings depict the many people
in small towns and countrysides
throughout Ohio that feel a genuine
passion for the Buckeyes. Meet Don

Co, room 260 on Monday, August
20th from 1:00 – 3:00.
Deb Strain

best-selling artists who delights in
creating bright, cherry Folk Art

and friendship. Her color palette,
more intense than traditional folk
art, depicts everyday scenes in a wonderfully warm-hearted style. Deb’s
art appeals to many people because it brings a familiar reminder
of shared interests, hopes and values into their lives. You’ll find
Deb at home in “R” Unique Concepts in room 228 on Sunday,
August 18th from 11:00 – 12:00 for Highland Graphics and 1:00
– 2:00 for Amcal.
Trieste
Ne’Qwa artist Trieste shares a
centuries-old technique that
is practiced only by a very few,
highly skilled painters. Known
in the Mandarin language as
“Ne’Qwa,” the artistic tradition
of reverse painting on the inside
of mouth-blown glass flourished
during the 17 th century, when
snuff bottles were valued fashion
accessories in China. Today, brining together the popular artwork
of internationally known artists with the centuries-old skill of
Chinese artisans, Ne’Qwa is committed to reviving this ancient
art form. Meet Trieste in the Bob Erwin showroom, #160 on
Saturday afternoon from 1:00 – 6:00 and again on Sunday, the
19th from 9:00 – 4:00.
Dianna Swartz
Folk artist Dianna Swartz has been
drawing and painting since almost
before she could walk! Dianna
credits God as the source of her
inspiration and the strong influence
of her faith is reflected in her work.
Dianna has designed ornaments for
the White House and the Governor’s
Mansion tree. She’s also produced
special addition prints such as the
Lincoln Highway. Dianna has been working with the Crossroads
team for a number of years. Don’t miss the opportunity to have
Dianna sign your candle on Sunday, August 19th from 1:00 – 3:00
in room 336.
Jonie Merrick
Jonie Merrick has been creating whimsical Folk Art from a very
young age. Jonie’s mother, Dianna Swartz, helped Jonie develop
her abilities. Jonie began her
career as a freelance artist
by creating original dolls of
vintage fabrics and notions
and selling them to specialty
stores in Ohio and surrounding areas. Jonie has also
created ornaments for the
Governor’s Christmas tree.
Be sure to meet Jonie in the
Crossroads showroom, #336
on Sunday, August 19th from
1:00 – 3:00.
