Benefits for CWA Members on Strike
• WITH A UNION PLUS CREDIT CARD
If you have held your union’s Union Plus credit card for 3 months or longer and on strike for 30 days or
longer, you could be eligible for a $300 strike grant. Visit UnionPlus.org/assistance to apply.
• WITH A UNION PLUS MORTGAGE
If you have held a Union Plus mortgage for at least a year, you could be eligible for an interest-free loan
and a one-time grant. After 30 days, you could be eligible for a benefit that will pay your monthly
mortgage payments during the strike. For more information or to request an application, call

• WITH A UNION PLUS INSURANCE POLICY
»» Union Plus Life Insurance: Union Plus policyholder premiums can be waived for 3 months, and those
waived premiums do not have to be repaid. To use this benefit, call 1-800-393-0864.
»» Union Plus Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance: Union Plus policyholder premiums are
waived beginning with the first quarterly premium due date following the start of the strike and for up
to one full year providing the coverage remains in force. This waived premium never has to be repaid.

»» Auto Insurance: Union Plus policyholders involved in a strike lasting 90 days or longer can defer premium payments for 2 months. If that happens, call Union Plus at 1-202-778- 9824.

• If you do not have a Union Plus mortgage but are at risk of missing a mortgage payment, call the free

• You ARE eligible for a free membership in the Union Plus Health Savings program with its money-saving discounts on prescriptions, vision care, hearing care, and foot care. Call 1-877-570-4845 and mention
you want a free membership as part of the Union Plus strike & lockout benefit.
