In its recent election of officers, the USC Alumni Association Southern California selected several individuals to serve
in various capacities for the period August 2015—2017. (See Page 2 for full listing)

USC SoCal gets 501(c) 3
Status
Good News!! USC SoCal is now
a fully registered Non-profit
Organization . We look forward
to utilizing this new status to
provide even greater assistance
to our Alma Mater
donors and friends who in a pattern
of systematic benevolence support

resources. Their ongoing historic
support has benefited many.
The work that we will all do requires a
reflection on the past, an evaluation
of the present, and a futuristic focus.
So, a few things are necessary. First,

An Evening of Elegance
The fundraiser in support of the Build-A-Band
project was held on December 14, 2014 and
featured top class artistes and entertainment
along with a delectable assortment of edibles.
The venture raised over $4,000 toward the
project. Look out for An Evening of Elegance II

USC President tours California Baptist University
Kerron Hislop, Guy Holliday, Steve Posegate, Clinton Valley
USC President Dr. Clinton Valley toured of the
campus and facilities of California Baptist
University in Riverside. During the tour, Dr.
Valley met with CBU’s President Dr. Ronald
Ellis as well as Dr. Guy Holliday and Dr. Steve
Posegate—professors in CBU’s School of
Music. The visit bore immediate fruit as Dr.
Ellis as well as Marketing & Communication
VP, Dr. Mark Wyatt visited USC’s main campus
to participate in its faculty and staff Colloquium
exercises held last week.
Our Annual USC Alumni Weekend 2015 kicked off to a
beautiful start on Sabbath 2nd May, 2015 with our
Sabbath School Service followed by the Divine Hour
Service at the San Bernardino Community SeventhDay Adventist Church located on 1696 North G Street,
San Bernardino, California...
Our Annual Fundraiser Luncheon proceeded the next
day on Sunday 3rd, May 2015 at 12:00 noon at the
beautiful Cuban Restaurant Coco Palms at 1600
Fairplex Drive, Pomona, California.
