May 19 - 22, 2017 Euroa By Heather Luke We had a great weekend Doug and I at Euroa as I think everyone else did. One of the highlights was a game of golf on the Sunday afternoon. The local course was very pretty and not too difficult for a couple of us beginners. Lynette was the caddie and might I say a very good one knowing all the rules of the game. Doug and David were the experienced players enjoying their golf at home a couple of times a week. John G was the surprise of the day hitting some very nice shots claiming he had only played one game before. We all said he should take it up when he goes home as he is a natural. Lots of fun was had by us all, not taking it too seriously. By Linda Gilson John and I arrived at Euroa on Thursday to find Jeffery and Lynette and Ron and Robina already there. The following day saw the arrival of David and Lynette, Doug and Heather, Marilyn and John, Nifty and Flo, Neville and Glenys, John and Veronica, Geoff and Sheena, Dennis and Anita with their delightful grandson Hudson. Tony and Julie arrived and took a cabin as they are “between caravans” at the moment. It was quite a good turnout for a May rally. Cool evenings were lovely around our campfire, with of course marshmallows being cooked. On Saturday morning Ron and Robina headed off up north. Saturday evening we all went to the local hotel within walking distance, and enjoyed a lovely meal, surprising Dennis with an early birthday treat as his birthday was the next Saturday. On Sunday, Veronica, Marilyn, Flik and I went to the local dog show for a look at the assorted dogs that were on display. Sunday afternoon was my “relax” time, while John went off and played golf.
