Ardnashee School and College Uniform Policy
Rationale
A uniform dress code fosters pride in appearance, instils recognition of the pupils as
an integral part of the community. It assists in developing pride in representing
Ardnashee School and College. Issues of equality, health and safety, and expense
are also factors that contribute to this uniform policy.
Aims
1. To promote equality amongst all students.
2. To further develop a sense of pride in, and identification with our school.
3. To provide durable clothing that is cost effective and practical for our school
environment.
Procedures
It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that all uniform items are clearly labelled
with the pupil’s name.
The School Uniform
PRIMARY
Pale blue polo shirts(boys)
Pale blue polo shirts (girls) available at the school
Navy trousers/ jogging bottoms
Navy jumper or fleece
Burgundy Shell Jacket
Blue Checked Summer Dress for Girls
SECONDARY
Navy Checked Shirt
Navy Polo top with Checked Collar (available at the school)
Navy stripped tie
Grey Jumper or Fleece
Grey Trousers or Skirt
Navy Shell Jacket
Navy Blazer
Wearing of the School Uniform is not compulsory for pupils in Year 13/14 and
Transition Centre Classes.
However all pupils are expected to be tidy whilst in Ardnashee School and College.
When pupils are representing the school at events, they are expected to wear school
uniform.
All items of school uniform are available from Ferguson Fashions William Street
Derry( except primary girls polo and senior navy polo)
