They represent you, the taxpayer. And I must say that the Bellport Fire District Board members live up to their respective positions. As the chief I have to answer to them and I have to make all requests for equipment and or/use of district property through them, and believe me I have to justify all of my requests. In no way is your board trying to get on a so called "band wagon " in respect to the purchase and building on to the Bohack property . They are looking into the present and the future for the protection of your life and your property. If any voter does not understand why the board is asking for the vote on the Bohack property and adding on to the building, then please attend the information meeting, at the Fire House on the evening of December 2, 1974.
