To The South Poplar Traditional
Community
Together we have accomplished
many
wonderful
learning
experiences for our students this
year.
We have had much
success both academically and
socially this year! I want to thank
you for contributing to our school’s
vision which is to “provide a safe
and caring environment where all
students are encouraged to
develop
the
necessary
knowledge, skills, values, and
personal and social behaviours
that help our students become
lifelong learners.” We continue to
have an amazing school because
we share this vision, which guides
our actions and beliefs and results
in high quality instruction for
students. Only with teachers and
parents working together in a
cooperative
and
orderly
environment is it possible to have
a school such as ours. Next year
we will continue to build on the
amazing traditions that have been
established and look for new and
creative ways to develop new
ones that will enhance our
students’ educational experience.

School uniforms are available at Able Cresting. Their store hours are M-F 9am—5pm and Saturday 10am—4pm. All
uniform orders received by July 31st will be ready for pickup before school starts in September. Orders received after
that date will be processed as quickly as possible, but can’t be guaranteed for school opening.

Grade 5 Farewell
Last Friday night we had an amazing Grade 5 Farewell Ceremony. Once again, we
came together as a community to provide a memorable experience for our students.
The decorations, food, speeches, certificates, yearbooks, banners, and slide show made
our grade 5 students feel very special and valued. Thank you to our farewell committee,
Dawn Moe & Cynthia Carstenesen and to all the parents and staff who made this such a
memorable occasion. Thank you Mr. Stobbe and Ms. Mani for your kind words about
our students.
To the Grade 5’s:
You have proven to us that it truly is “Your Time to Shine”! Thank you Nadine and
Malika for speaking about your South Poplar memories. Congratulations to all of our
Grade 5 students on your achievements at South Poplar Traditional Elementary School!
