Cutting Instructions:
Fabric 1:
Center Block: Cut 1 – 13-1/2 in. wide strip. From the strip,
cut 1 rectangle 22-1/2 in. long.
Border #1 Cornerstones: Cut 1 – 4-1/2 in wide strip. From the
strip, cut 4 squares.
Border #3 Sides: Cut 2 - 4-1/2 in. wide strips. From the strips,
cut 2 rectangles 37-1/2 in. long.
Border #3 Top & Bottom: Cut 2 – 4-1/2 in. wide strips. From
the strips, cut 2 rectangles 28-1/2 in. long
Fabric 2:
Border #1 Top & Bottom: Cut 1 – 4-1/2 in wide strip. From the
strip, cut 2 rectangles 13-1/2 in. long.
Border #1 Sides: Cut 2 – 4-1/2 in. wide strips. From the strip,
cut 2 rectangles 22-1/2 in. long.
Outside Border #4 Top & Bottom: Cut 1 – 4-1/2 in. wide strip.
From the strip, cut 4 rectangles 9-1/2 in. long.
Outside Border #4 Sides: Cut 2 – 4-1/2 in wide strips. From the
strips, cut 5 rectangles 11-1/8 in. long.

Border #2 Sides: Cut 2 – 4 in. wide strips. From the strips, cut 2 rectangles
44 x 53
30-1/2 in. long.
Border #2 Top & Bottom: Cut 2 – 4 in. wide strips. From the strips,
cut 2 rectangles 28-1/2 in. long.
Border # 3 Cornerstones: Cut 1 – 4-1/2 in. wide strip. From the strip, cut 4 squares.
Outside Border #4 Top & Bottom: Cut 1 – 4-1/2 in. wide strip. From the strip, cut 4 rectangles 9-1/2 in. long.
Outside Border #4 Sides: Cut 2 – 4-1/2 in. wide strips. From the strips, cut 5 rectangles 11-1/8 in long.
Use ¼ inch seams throughout. Start with the center block and work beyond it.
Attach cornerstone blocks to the side borders. As you proceed around the
center block, sew the side borders first, then top and bottom.
You should have enough leftover fabrics to create the binding.
Quilt and bind as desired. Enjoy your quilt!
TIP: To keep borders from getting too stretchy, keep the strips you are sewing on the bottom. Pin the strip on and do not remove your pins
until you are finished sewing. Sew very slowly over flower pins and you will have more accurate borders.
