USEFUL INFORMATION
STRETCH WRAP
Whenever selecting film, the following variables should be taken into account:
Type of product
Type of load
Type of equipment
Stretch film type is dependent
on what you are wrapping.
Lighter, more fragile goods
require a lower gauge of film
to avoid being crushed than
do heavier, more solid goods
that can withstand the
pressure of higher gauges.
There are two factors
that determine load type
– the weight of the load
and the uniformity of its
outside surface.
Examples of different
load types are shown
below:
Machine stretch levels will help
determine what type of film is
necessary to wrap a load. Whereas
higher gauges were once required
for machines with high pre-stretch
levels, today we are selling thinner,
tougher films which are able to
endure greater levels of stretch while
maintaining their strength.
‘A’ loads
have no
irregularities.
‘B’ loads
have protrusions
up to 100mm.
‘C’ loads
have protrusions
over 100mm.
CARTONS
When measuring a box, the dimensions are given
in the following order:-
length x breadth x height
Single Wall Corrugated Cardboard consists of one fluted
medium between two sheets of linerboard
Double Wall has two fluted mediums sandwiched between
three sheets of linerboard

Box styles are what we use to describe
what style of box you might need. We use
the industry-standard codes for different
box styles, for example, the most popular
box style is 0201 which is a type of box
you are fairly used to seeing - it has two
outer flaps that meet in the middle top
and bottom to tape.

Packaging Foam is one of the more versatile packaging materials in use today. Low-density polyethylene is extruded to
form thousands of tiny cells, each full of air and each cell combining to form a non cross-linked foam.
STRAPPING
Polypropylene tensional strapping is a safe and secure method of sealing your boxes or securing your pallets. Hand
strapping is available either on a cardboard core or a plastic reel. We also offer a wide range of machine strapping for
customers with semi or fully automatic strapping machines.
Polyester strapping is a great alternative to steel strapping, its excellent recovery properties help a load absorb impacts
without the straps breaking.

stationery boxes suitable for letterheads, compliment slips and business cards.
