Functions and Events Mojito Joe’s is a unique venue for locals and those adrift. Joes beach side shack is influenced by the casual elegance of1950's Americana, garnished with Hawaiian and Polynesian pop culture. By blending these specific styles of food, drinks, and the décor we have created a Tiki inspired escape for locals and those adrift to enjoy Our food is best described as share-fare. A combination of Pacific Islander, Creole, Cajun, Latin and Asian cuisine, drinks are mostly rum-based, complex, traditionally punchy rather than sweet. Half the fun of holding a function or event celebratory event is enjoying the company, food, and drinks without the stress. With decades of event experience we will manage everything we can to make the organising and overseeing of your event as simple as possible. We have a few options for your party at Mojito Joe’s: We never charge for “Room Hire” Private Functions (sole use) available *Fri/Sat. Conditions apply Private Functions (sole use) available *Sun/Thurs, minimum 50ppl, Conditions apply We have 4 booths available to be booked, 2 booths fit 8-10 and 2 fit 8-15 (any more is a real squash) Function area booking starts at 16 people. Our lounge area is perfect for a cocktail & canapé style event for 16-24 people. We have a great area for 25-50 guests, cocktail & canapé style. If you have a larger event to organise please call us and we will work with you to make it awesome! Our function spaces can be secured by meeting us, selecting one of the following menu suggestions; we have selected our most popular and function friendly fare. If there are any items from our regular menu missing that you would like added we can discuss this with you as well. Due to feedback gathered from previous bookings we have developed a new system for your function food requirements. Functions at Mojito Joes Summer 2015/16 Menu *Tropical Guacamole (V) (GF) Joe’s inspired twist on the perfect appetizer for your guests as they arrive, fresh avocado topped with our tropical salsa, served with toasted corn chips. *Penang Pirate Planks (GF, V) Penang Island lies between the Malaysian mainland and Sumatra. Once a fertile ground for Spanish sailors and pirates alike we have taken inspiration from both countries combining Malaysian curry and Spanish Polenta to create a crispy dipping plank served w a coconut and lime dipping sauce ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peking Duck Salad (GFA) Shredded Peking style BBQ Duck with hoi sin, young pepper corn, leek, chilli and shallot Tender Tiki Squid Skewers (GF) Salt and Pepper Squid dusted with Lemon myrtle and served with Lime Aioli Dipping sauce. All you need is Larb….Sliders Succulent, pulled beef, tossed with chilli, mint, coriander, red onion and glass noodles served cold on crunchy Asian slaw between warm toasted brioche buns topped with sesame seeds. Hong’s Wonton Bites Golden fried, crisp pork wontons served with a sweet and sour dipping sauce Hoi Sin and ginger Wings (GF) Joes extremely popular chicken wings flash fried and tossed in Hoi Sin and ginger. I love you Dahl… Spring Rolls (V) Ginger, red lentil and coconut Dahl spring rolls hand rolled and served with Joes house made Kasundi. Rendang rolls Rendang is spicy meat dish which originated from the Minangkabau people of Indonesia and is now served in curry houses all over the world. To make this dish easier to share we have filled spring rolls with our Rendang and serve it with a minted yoghurt dipping sauce..BOOM! Jalapeno Poppers (V) Only for the mildly brave. Whole Jalapeno Chilies, sliced open then stuffed with a candied-citrus infused cream cheese, stitched back up, lightly crumbed and fried. We want your event to run as smoothly as possible, to enable this numbers are to be set at a minimum of 16 and maximum of 24 in the lounge area for an event/function and final numbers must be agreed to 72 Hours before your booking. If numbers increase over 24ppl or cancellations put your group under 16ppl you may be moved to another area in the venue more appropriate The confirmed number of guests will determine the amount of food prepared and charged for. If numbers increase outside of the 72 hour window of notice we will do our best but we cannot guarantee we will get delivery of fresh produce resulting in the possibility of menu selections being restricted. Any additional requirement can be ordered from the regular menu as per normal share-fare service. All functions over 15ppl are required to pay a $200.00 deposit by Credit Card or Direct Deposit a minimum of 7 days out from the booking (unless otherwise arranged). The $200 deposit can be used at the venue on the night and will come directly off your food and beverage bill when you are ready to pay. Please be aware that the smoking laws in NSW have changed this year and NO smoking is permitted in our venue. Anyone found smoking at our venue will be IMMEDIATELY ejected, no exceptions. If there is ANY damage to our AstroTurf or other fixtures and or fitting YOU the organiser will be held responsible and your credit card will be charged for repairs. A representative from Mojito Joes will contact you to ensure safe payment of your deposit.
