Samuel goes on to warn them and says that there will come a day when they will cry out for relief from the burden their king places on them because they chose what they wanted rather than God’s will. The Israelites were shortsighted. Shortsighted means, “not considering what will or might happen in the future.” The shortsightedness of the Israelites resulted in their wanting to be like other nations of their day. In reality, they chose what was culturally relevant over what was spiritually excellent. They later deeply regretted their decision. The children’s ministry will be reaching out to our community to spread the love of Christ. Each day, they will go to a couple different parks and put on a fun and exciting presentation for the kids and their families. At the end of the week, on August 20 th, will be our Family Funfest!!!
