Article 5. Shall the voters of the Town of Greensboro approve the proposed
Zoning By-law changes?
1.) To be added to Section 3 on page 17 as
§3.12 HEIGHT EXCEPTIONS
The height limitations of these Regulations, except in the Lakeshore District, shall be
waived for barns and silos, private home antennae, spires, belfries, steeples, cupolas,
water tanks, ventilators, chimneys, solar equipment, windmills, transmission towers, flag
poles, or other appurtenances not used for human occupancy up to a maximum of 50
feet. Windmills over 35 feet in height shall require a conditional use review. There shall
be no waiver of height limitations for the above items within the Lakeshore District.
2.) To be amended in Section 4.2 Accessory Dwelling Unit (C) 5 on page 18.
§4.2 (C) 5. The unit does not exceed 800 square feet of total habitable floor area or 30%
of the total habitable floor area of the principal dwelling, whichever is greater.
3.) To be amended in Section 5.1 (C) on page 25.
§5.1 (C) Handicap Accessibility Ramps which comply with The Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and provide access to a building do not require a zoning
permit, nor do fences and stairs.
