The Streams – Newsletter November/December 2015
A big welcome to our
new starters Alice,
Marcus, Olivia,
Harriet and Milo!
They have all settled
in really well!
This month we are focusing on the season of Winter and will
be looking at colour, light and language. We will be practising
lots of action songs and rhymes for our Christmas concert
and will be sending home words and lyrics so that you can sing
them with your child.
Our signs this month are star and Santa.
This is in preparation for our Christmas
concert. Please practise these signs at
home so that our concert is a success!
Santa (make a beard sign under your chin)
Star (alternately flash two fingers in the
air)
We will also be carrying out lots of creative activities
with the babies over the festive season. Please could you
bring in any cardboard tubes, paper or materials which
would be suitable for making wintery pictures! Thank you
in advance.
Important Dates
Sunday 22nd November 12-4pm – Christmas Fayre – Please come
along and support the nursery. Any bottles or other donations
for our tombola are most welcome.
Thursday 10th December 9:30am –Christmas concert. This year
the Streams and Rivers will be having a joint Christmas concert.
Please dress your child in a Christmas outfit of your choice on
this day. (Places are limited to 2 adults per child)
Thursday 17th December – Christmas Party Day
Please note that the nursery will be closed over Christmas from
25th December until 4th January.
