ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1. For one of the two scholarships, the candidate must be either a spouse or a son or daughter of an ASCE - Duluth Section member in good standing or a student member of ASCE assigned to the Duluth Section as of January 1st of the current year, and, 2. The candidate must be registered for classes in the upcoming school year at a four-year university or college and, 3. The candidate must be either a junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in civil engineering during the award year. 4. The candidate must complete and transmit the application form to the Duluth Section Secretary by March 25th to be eligible for the scholarship. 5. For the second of the two scholarships the student must be enrolled at UMD. Requirements 2, 3 & 4 also apply for the second scholarship. SCHOLARSHIP REVIEW GUIDELINES: 1. The scholarship review committee will consist of the first past-president, president and president elect. 2. The secretary shall review all applicants to ensure that they meet minimum qualifications. The secretary shall black out all personal information from the application form and then forward one copy to each of the review committee members. 3. The review committee shall recommend one or more candidates to the full Duluth section board at the March board meeting. 4. The scholarship winner will be announced in the April newsletter and shall receive the scholarship at the April section meeting. REVISIONS TO THE ASCE-DULUTH SECTION SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES: 1.
