­­foreign policy reflected Americans postwar desire to return to Isolationism = policy of avoiding political and economic alliances with foreign nations
­Americans wanted to be left alone to pursue prosperity. ­US, however, was too impt after WWI in international affairs.
­­also limited immigration with increase in nativism ­­Harding = scandalous administration . . . .
­­Teapot Dome scandal ­ government officials gave rights to oil company to drill on federal land in exchange for part of the profit. ­­Died in office, strain of corruption may have led to heart problems
