I think that what makes this
show good is the scenery,
the plotline and how it is
being perceived. Something
about the scenery or setting
makes it feel nostalgic and
the fact that it is in the 80’s.

episodes, they are very
complex and the plot is told
clearly with right pacing.
It’s not rushed or too slow.
There’s also enough time
for each character, in which
you can kind of tell what
their point of view is and
what their feelings are. It’s
full of mystery and suspense, so there are somethings that you might never
get to know. There’s also
been rumors that there
might be a second season to
it too, but it has not been
officially confirmed.
Whenever you have nothing
to do or you just want to
binge watch Netflix shows,
I recommend you watch it.
So what is it about this
show that has the audience
so captivated? Maybe it’s
because of the nostalgic
feelings or the suspense.

Do you guys know what an urban legend is? Well if not I’ll tell you right
now. An urban legend is basically a
story (myth). Some are true and some
are not. Well, some urban legends can
be funny, and some can be a bit creepy.
Today I’m going to give you guys an
urban legend I think that is weird, and
you can check out some stories yourself. Trust me, there's way more legends that I'm not going to be talking
about. To find some stories just go on
Google or Bing and just look up “urban
legends.”

There’s a story that a journalist named
Brian was out late out at night. He got
in his car and his car was parked in
front of a movie theater. As he was preparing to leave, two boys knocked on
his car window. Brian rolled down his

off at there home so they could pick up

Spirit Week Spotlight

Every year at FLA, we have spirit
weeks — sometimes at the end of the
year, sometimes at the end. This week’s
spirt week was really fun and exciting
for a lot of students, and many dressed
up. Here are some pictures I took of
them. I hope you enjoy!
Mr. Reynolds: Mathematics
6th Grade. The 6th graders will begin the year with a unit on expressions
and equations. Students will learn the difference between the two and
what they look like and be able to give examples of each. Also included
in this unit are decimals. 6th graders will review decimal operations at
this time to ensure comprehension.
Sra. Bock: Social Studies Spanish Immersion

All classes have been working on naming and locating the seven continents
and five oceans. 6th graders are working on timelines. 7th graders are locating places on a map using latitude and longitude. 8 th graders are discovering what life was like for the first Americans.

forms were at the back of the band handbook.
The Gardening Class has begun to plant in the five beds near the parking lots. We have planted carrots, radishes, lettuce, swiss chard, and
sugar snap peas. We are still harvesting left over potatoes and carrots
from the Spring as well. Next week we will have our first Litter and
Lunch day when we help keep our school looking nice and clean.

The Business class is currently focusing on becoming more proficient in
using formatting tools of Microsoft Word. Their project will be to create
an election poster just in time for the Student Council elections which
are coming up in 2 weeks.
Mrs. Haywood: Art
The art room is happy to welcome first semester middle
school art classes. We began by working on a self-collage,
finding and arranging words that describe who you are. Now
we are building on the collage surface creating a name sculpture. This 3-D sculpture will be made out of illustration board.
