Headed by City Planner Wayne Marshall, the harbor walk was begun, in part, because of the development of the new Front Street Shipyard. The new Belfast Harbor Walk allows residents and visitors to stroll, bike or jog the half-mile stretch along the downtown coast, from the Armistice footbridge, where one can fish while staring out to sea, to Steamboat Landing Park, home to many festivals, activities, weddings, events and concerts.
