Wild Walks
A one-hour guided tour for audiences of all ages,
weekends at 10am, 12pm or 2pm. Enjoy fun facts,
animal stories, and an animal encounter.
Register online or in person 10 minutes prior to tour
start times in Entry Village.
VIP Wild Walks
A 90-minute customized tour to your liking offered
every Saturday and Sunday at 3:30pm. Beginning with
an animal encounter and ending at our Bernard Osher
Giraffe Lodge, where you get the opportunity to feed
our giraffes.
Pre-register for these tours through our calendar online.

Private Wild Walks
A 75-minute tour highlighting 3-4 exhibit areas of your
choosing with a personal tour guide ending with an
up-close animal encounter.

MADAGASCAR EXPERIENCE
• Come eye-to-eye with seven species of lemurs at Lemur Forest and learn about the threats to the biodiversity hotspot. Catch the leaping lemurs, Coquerel’s sifakas, bouncing and playing in their newly built exhibit.
AFRICAN REGION
• Be surrounded by animals in the African Savanna, including zebras, giraffes,
ostriches, and kudu.
• Don’t miss our gorilla troop.
EXPLORATION ZONE
• Delight in the social interactions of the meerkats and the prairie dogs.
• Discover the Insect Zoo and Animal
Resource Center.
• Pet a goat or sheep in the Family Farm.
CAT KINGDOM
• See endangered tigers, snow leopards, lions, and fishing cats.
• Watch the antics around Penguin Island.
• Learn how to tell the difference between two species of endangered rhinoceros.
Grizzly Gulch
• Get nose-to-nose with our beloved grizzly bear sisters and watch them swim and fish in their pool at Hearst Grizzly Gulch.
• Meet our wolves, Chacoan peccaries, and rescued bald eagle.
Tropical Rain Forest & Aviary
•Features a realistic rainforest ecosystem, full of colorful free-flight birds, exotic plants, a two-toed sloth, and the Zoo’s first significant herpetological collection.
RED PANDA TREEHOUSE
• Find our adorable red pandas in the tree
house custom designed by Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters.
