The Time Machine

The Raving Rabbids land in Futuroscope, in the Heart of the NEW Attraction –
The Time Machine
December 2013 – From 21st December 2013, visitors to Futuroscope, Poitou-Charentes, are invited to
experience The Time Machine, the new 5D attraction inspired by the world of the Raving Rabbids.
First of all customers will have to criss-cross the crazy exterior and interior entrance to the ride, created
by these heroes of the video game. After lots of amusing experiences en route, they then join the train of
special effects in the company of the Raving Rabbids. The train is then sucked into a strong spatial temporal vortex to be transported in time through 4 historic scenes: the pre-historic age, the Greek
games, the American Indians and the conquest of space, revisiting the greatest moments in history,
thus with a big dose of the Raving Rabbids zany humour!
This new attraction is equipped with an immersive device of a unique technological and artistic calibre.
Effects begin when you board the train and travel through the scenes that are realistically interactive and
project 3D full HD images. This becomes a 4D experience as one travels through a space time vortex and
5D as the train is full to brimming with special effects, animated scenery and moving backdrops.
The Time Machine is the result of the expertise of Futuroscope and the creative know-how of the
company Ubisoft, united to produce the first attraction in Europe entirely devoted to the characters of a
video game. After the Internet, cartoons and TV, the Raving Rabbids have broken through the frontier of
video games to inhabit the world of Futuroscope, which allows total immersion in their universe, bringing
the public closer to them, purely due to the original artistry and technology involved. It is the know-how
of Futuroscope and Ubisoft together that brings this experience to the public and makes it a 5D
immersion in the subject.
‘In as much as we are an intergenerational theme park, we thought it essential to bring content that
addresses adults and children alike and that incorporates a lot more humour in our offer. Our
collaboration with Ubisoft has allowed us once again to showcase French expertise, both artistic and
technological’ Dominique Hummel, President of Futuroscope underlined.

‘We are absolutely delighted to participate for the first time in this new Raving Rabbids adventure with a
theme park as prestigious as Futuroscope. We have followed and encouraged the creative exchanges
between our teams. We have concentrated on arriving at an exceptional, immersive experience for the
visitor that is both fun and yet respectful of the off the wall character of the Raving Rabbids. This is a BIG
first!’ agreed Yves Guillemot, President of Ubisoft.
