Mansfield History:
In the late 1850s, friends Ralph
S. Man and Julian Feild came
to the area to build the first
steam-operated gristmill in
North Texas and the town
of Mansfield grew around
their successful business.
The explosive growth of the
Metroplex in the 1970s sparked
Mansfield’s transition from
rural town to thriving suburban
community. Mansfield is now
one of the fastest growing
cities in Texas, drawing families
from across the area to live in
its neighborhoods and work
in the expanding number of
businesses in the city.
