Take home Mrs. Bermudez ¡CINCO DE MAYO! The fifth of May! Since this is my last year at PCA, we will be having a huge fiesta/party to celebrate the Mexican holiday, Cinco de Mayo. We will be doing this on Monday, May 5th! We are all making decorations, flags, and placemats. The 7th & 8th graders will be making piñatas for every class. This is going to be a day of fun, activities, dancing, and food! I am in need of bags of small wrapped candy to fill the piñatas. Would you consider donating candy? We are also going to be eating lunch together. Could you help me with a donation of money to purchase food? I’m thinking lunch will cost around $200. I would love to have everything donated so the children wouldn’t have to pay anything for lunch that day. Just let me know or put money in an envelope marked, “Cinco de Mayo.” Thank you for any help or donations. 8th MATH: We have finished our Geometry chapter. We are learning the Pythagorean Theorem and SOH CAH TOA!! We always enjoy the videos about these. They are funny but we do learn from them. 7TH MATH: We have started Geometry. New this year we will be learning the surface area and volume of 3-D shapes. Please make sure you are showing all your work on your formulas. It is important to keep them lined up and be careful. 5th / 6TH MATH: We began Geometry this week. We will be learning about perimeter and area of our shapes. The 5th graders will review dividing fractions. The 6th graders will learn about the circle. 7th / 8th SPANISH: We will be learning about Cinco de Mayo and doing projects for our party/fiesta!!! We watched a video about Cinco de Mayo and the Battle at Puebla. 5th/6th SPANISH: We started working on our Cinco de Mayo projects. ELEMENTARY SPANISH: We are working on our Cinco de Mayo projects.
