Fortfiber SWE

Fortfiber SWE
PROPERTIES
Fortfiber SWE are made of low carbon, cold
drawn steel fibres used for a cost effective
reinforcement of concrete
Fortfiber SWE are deformed (waving) to
guarantee (anchoring) good adherence to the
concrete
Fortfiber SWE guarantee a fast and easy mixing
with no clogging.

The 3-dimensional reinforcement of the steel
fibers allows for thinner walls.

For floors: reduction of application time: not
necessary to install reinforcement mesh, no
sub-floor needed, pouring of concrete directly
out of the concrete truck without a concrete
pump, reduction of amount of saw cut joints.
CHARACTERISTICS
USES

To allow high loads on normal concrete (B25
and B35): industrial floors, prefab elements,
waterproof basements, increasing the load
capacity by dividing forces.

To give concrete extra ductility.

To replace or minimise static reinforcement; or
can replace reinforcement that is difficult to
install: f.e. for gunite or shotcrete in tunnels.

High energy-absorption by dynamic loads: or
increase impact resistance.

Steel fibers distributed over the total concrete
thickness give excellent crack resistance; the
areas closest to the surface are also reinforced
resulting in less damage to corners or sides.

Reduced crack formation during sudden
temperature changes.

To prevent cracks in walls which are poured on
top of existing Floor slabs.

APPLICATION
Reinforced concrete with Fortfiber SWE can be
poured directly out of the mixer.
When pumping the fiber reinforced concrete, it is
not allowed to have dosage higher then 50 kg/m³
PACKAGING
25 kg per cardboard box, 40 boxes on a pallet .
DOSAGE
Fortfiber SWE can be added by hand or blown
directly into the fast rotating mixer or into the
truck mixer. It is not allowed to add more then
25 kg of fibers per minute. Mixing should be at
least 2 minute per m³ of concrete.
Compliance with ASTM A 820/A 820M-04, Type
V cold drawn wire.
Testing conforms with ASTM C 1116, ASTM
C1018 and JCI SF4.

The right proportioning of Fortfiber SWE is
determined by static claculations or by basic
recommendations. A possible deviation of the mix
design should be adjusted by addition of proper
plastifier. Normal recommended dosage is 25
kg/m³.
All additives need to be free of Chlorides.
Can be used as reinforcement in screeds..
