MINISTERIAL ORDER
FORMATION OF THE VILLAGE OF DEWBERRY

Whereas, the undersigned being satisfied that all requirements
with respect to the incorporation of a Village under the provisions
of The Town and Village Act, 1952 and amendments thereto, have
b e e n substantially complied with, it is hereby ordered that the
area described hereunder, namely:

Be and it is hereby withdrawn from the Municipal District of
Vermilion River No 71 and erected into a Village to be known
as the Village of Dewberry.
It is further ordered that a nomination meeting for the first election
of a Council be held between the hours of eleven o’clock in the forenoon and twelve o'clock noon on Monday, February 4th, 1957 for the
purpose of receiving names of candidates for the office of Councillors.

It is further ordered that, if an election is necessary, the polling
day shall be Monday, February 18th, 1957 and that the election shall
be conducted in accordance with the provisions of The Town and
Village Act, 1952, in that behalf.
It is further ordered that the first meeting of the new Council
shall be held Monday, February 25th, 1957.
This order shall be effective as on and from the 1st day of January,
1957, except that for the purpose of Certificates of Assessment as
required by sections 283 and 296 of The School Act, 1952, and section
73 of the Municipal Hospitals Act, this order shall be deemed to have
been in effect as of the 31st day of December 1956.
