Day One - Arrive at the Falkland Islands Arrive Mount Pleasant International Airport via your international flight . Met by Falkland Islands Holidays representative and transfer d overland to Darwin/ Goose Green settlement for overnight stay at Darwin House, a most comfortable lodge located directly overlooking the sheltered waters of Choiseul Soundwith beautiful views and surrounded by Falklands wildlife and a short walk to visit memorials from the 1982 conflict, Goose Green or a short drive to the worlds most southerly suspension bridge Day Two - Carcass Island Internal FIGAS (Falkland Islands Government Air Service) flight on a Britten-Norman Islander 8-seater aircraft to Carcass. Meet and transfer to the main house for 2nts accommodation on a full board basis. During your time on Carcass you may explore at leisure including walks to such locations as Leopard Beach and Stanley Hill both scenic and offering an array of wildlife, especially small birds (due to being one of two islands that are rat free) including the Cobb's Wren (rare & endemic), shore birds including Magellanic & Gentoo Penguins & photographic opportunities Day Three - Boat Trip to West Point Island A full day tour to West Point Island . Take to the seas on "Condor" for approximately 1 hour's crossing, sometimes being led by Peale's dolphins. Take in the beautiful shorelines scattered with wildlife. Explore Devil's Nose, where Black Browed Albatross and Rockhopper can been seen, explore Mount Ararat and if weather is favourable it may be possible to circumnavigate the island. The trip will last approximately 8 hours "smoko" and a packed lunch are provided Day Four - Internal flight to Sea Lion Island Transfer to airstrip for your internal FIGAS flight to Sea Lion Island. Prime wildlife location, National Nature Reserve & Ramsar site.. 2 night's accommodation on a full board basis at Sea Lion Lodge. All wildlife locations are easily accessible on foot, the wildlife literally starts at the door step of the lodge, however an introductory tour with driver/ guide has been included to help familiarize you with the islands layout and wildlife locations, alternatively you can explore the island at leisure. The combination of beeches, fresh water ponds and heath land provide a breeding ground for a variety of birds. Day Five - Full Day Sea Lion Island A full day will enable you to experience the island from sunrise to sunset. It allows you to plenty of time to hike your way around stopping off at various spots to admire the view and to spend time sitting amongst the wildlife, whilst keeping a look out for whales and dolphins and rogue Leopard Seals, Albatross and King Penguins. There is also an estimated 70 species of flowing plants including the enemic Vanilla Daisy & Coastal Nassauvia. There is also a memorial for the HMS Sheffield commemorating the British Warship sunk of the coast. Day Six - Stanley the Capital Internal FIGAS flight to Stanley. Meet and transfer to Malvina House Hotel for 2nts accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis. Remainder of day free to explore the small capital of Stanley. Perhaps visit the small museum, Christchurch cathedral, whalebone arch and walk along the seafront taking in the various monuments and sites. For keen walkers try the solar system walk, a vist to Cape Pembrike lighthouse or a panoramic view of Stanly from Mount Tumbledown Day Seven - Volunteer Point Full day excursion with your driver/ guide to Volunteer Point. Travelling overland in 4 x 4 vehicles passing Johnsons Harbour you will arrive at Volunteer Beach where our largest colony of breeding King Penguins, will be seen along with Gentoo and Magellanic. A packed lunch included ALTERNATIVES . A choice of other wildlife locations or battle site tours are also available if required. Day Eight - Departure Depending on the time of your flight or crusie connection, you may have a few more hours to explore Stanley, or pick up a souvenir . Transfer overland to Mount Pleasant Airport or Port .
