Day 1 | Arrive Launceston
Your journey begins today in Launceston
where you will be transferred from the
airport to your accommodation. Peppers
Seaport is located in the lively Seaport
Precinct in the heart of Launceston.
Tonight’s welcome dinner will be at the
Josef Chromy Restaurant, named one of
the “best 50 Restaurants in Australia”. A
stunning location to experience superb
Tasmanian wines and fine cuisine made
with fresh local produce as you meet your
fellow travellers.
Overnight: Peppers Seaport or similar.
Day 2 | Launceston - Tall Timbers
After breakfast, we drive north west
stopping for morning tea in Devonport,
situated at the mouth of the Mersey River.
Continuing on we arrive at the port city of
Burnie. Originally named Emu Bay, it was
renamed for William Burnie, a director
of the Van Diemen’s Land Company, in
the early 1840s. Enjoy lunch today at the
famous Hellyers Road Whisky Distillery.
Travelling further north west, we arrive
at our award winning accommodation
for the next three evenings, Tall Timbers.
Located at Smithton, this will be the
perfect base from which to explore the
abundant attractions of the North West
Coast. Dinner tonight at Tall Timbers.
Overnight: Tall Timbers
Day 3 | Tarkine Wilderness & Arthur
River Region
Depart this morning to discover the
hidden treasures and unique beauty of
Tasmania’s North West Coast. In the
comfort of premium 4WD vehicles, we will
explore the rugged coastline and Arthur
River region. Discover the remoteness of
the “Edge of The World” and The Tarkine
deep in this pristine wilderness. Find
yourself in awe at the spectacular views
of the Tarkine Coast and cool climate
rainforest. Marvel at the beauty of the
Arthur River, the only river in Tasmania
which is completely wild having never
been logged, dammed, or blackened by
fire in more than 600 years.
Overnight: Tall Timbers
Day 4 | Woolnorth
This morning we drive to the north
western tip of Tasmania for an upclose visit to the cliff top towers of the
Woolnorth Wind Farm. Today, there is
a total of 62 Vestas (wind turbines) at
Bluff Point Wind Farm and Studland Bay
Wind Farm both of which are built in the
prevailing westerly winds, the roaring
40s, which are a world class wind asset.
Next we visit the historic Woolnorth
property homestead and historic precinct,
while driving through wonderful dairy
lands of the Van Diemen’s Land Company.
Finally, a visit to the breath taking
Cape Grim where we see the wonderful
coastline, breathe the cleanest air in the
world, and witness all the islands off the
North West Coast of Tasmania. Overnight: Tall Timbers

Today we drive south east stopping in
Elizabeth Town and visiting Ashgrove
Cheeses and the Christmas Hill Raspberry
Farm before returning to Launceston mid
afternoon.

be at Stillwater, one of Tasmania’s most
awarded restaurants, set in a beautifully
restored 1830’s flour mill beside the
