Inventory Control in Real Time
Our timber inventory application gives you control of your log inventory. The application will automatically
add and subtract to/from the inventory. In addition there are tools for log class administration and manual
control over balances etc. A number of reports are available showing the current inventory, sorted/sawn
material, event history etc. Selections can be made by time, shift etc. At a glance, the operator can determine the status of ongoing operations and activities.

The application collects information from the sawline(s) and the
measurement station using the sawmill’s network. The sawline
operator selects log class before sawing commences. The properties of the logs are compared and the most similar log is subtracted from the inventory. Adaptations can be made to other
suppilers than RemaSawco to achieve automatic control of the
inventory.
All log individuals are saved in a Microsoft SQL Server database.
The application is built around Microsoft Windows standards
making the operators comfortable with the functions.
Two sawlines can be accommodated. The automatic control of
the inventory can be shut off for certain types of activities, e.g.
resorting. Balances and log classes can be managed manually
and some functions are password protected if required.
In the control room of the sawline, the operator can see the current
balance of the log class being sawed. A warning will be issued
when the number of logs come to an end.
A number of reports are available, e.g. history of manual inventory
balance changes, sorting and sawing activities during a selected
time interval and current inventory balances for the different log
classes. It is also possible to display combined log classes, i.e.
adding several log classes together and display them as one.
Since data for each log is saved separately in the database,
additional reports can easily be designed for different
purposes and users.
