2017 SRHFA Maid Marian Court Calendar
I hope this information is helpful in your deciding if the Maid Marian Court is something you and your
family would like to participate in this year. I look forward to receiving your daughter’s application
before April 3rd.
April
04/03/17 – Applications due (post marked by 4/03)
04/08/17 – Interviews starting at 1:00 at Crossridge Church (23550 SW Pine St. just off Sunset near the soccer park)
04/11/17– Maid Marian Bios due (emailed to [email protected])
May
05/08/17 - Coronation celebration at the Sherwood Library mandatory attendance of parents and court (5:45pm headshots and
reception and short meeting following coronation)
05/16/17 - Presentation of court to Sherwood City Council at 7:00. Please meet at the Sherwood Public Library at 6:45 in full
costume. mandatory attendance
05/20/17 – Community Fair at Tualatin Valley Fire Station. Help distribute free food and help with the RHF table. Time TBD
05/21/17 - 3:00 High Tea get together at Kristine’s house mandatory attendance of girls. 2nd meeting and Family Costume Fittings
to follow at Sentinel storage unit across from Target. The address is 15555 SW Tualatin-Sherwood Rd.
05/27/17 – Hair appointments for court for costume photo shoot at Denev Salon. Time TBD
05/27/17 –Renaissance photo shoot at 4:00pm at Stella Olsen Park mandatory attendance of court and families in full costume
June
06/04/17 – Faire on the Grove. We will go as a group with girls in full costume. Time TBD
06/15/17– Robin Hood Festival court presentation at 7:00 - Masonic Lodge located at 22536 SW Washington st. mandatory
attendance
July
07/04/17 – July 4th Parade in Hillsboro, Oregon mandatory attendance of parents and court. The court and their families will be
required to arrive at the parade staging grounds at 7:30am and should be expected to not return home that day until at
least 12:00pm or 1:00pm.
07/12-07/16– Robin Hood Festival week mandatory attendance of parents and court. Families will be busy the entire week
of the festival as the girls and their families are asked to help set up the festival and the girls participate in a number of
activities during that whole week through Sunday the 16th.
07/11/17 and 07/13/17 – Toddler Story Time at the Sherwood Public Library times TBD mandatory attendance.
07/14/17 – Hair appointment for appearances in Robin Hood Festival 3:00pm Denev Salon booth - RHF
07/14/17 – Knighting Ceremony in old town at 5:30. Mandatory attendance of court and families in full costume
07/15/17 – Archery opening ceremony at Edy Ridge – 8:00am. Expect to be busy all day with the Archery tournament, parade,
MCing of the family stage in old town and being ambassadors for Sherwood and the Robin Hood Festival. Mandatory
attendance of court and families in full costume
07/16/17– Archery closing ceremony - Edy Ridge at 3:00.
07/22/17 – Canterbury Renaissance Faire. Time TBD. We will go as a group with the girls in full costume
November
11/20/17 – Stuffing Santa bags for tree lighting ceremony at the Masonic Lodge– time TBD
December
12/02/17 – Sherwood’s Old Town Parade and Christmas tree lighting ceremony mandatory attendance of parents and court.
This is the last time that the girls will perform community service as a group and they and their families are required to
volunteer and attend.
*These times are approximate. Once the Court is formed, the families can choose the float
work party and community service times and dates.
