April 18, 1861
Dear Big Four,
Some people want the railroads and some
people don’t want the railroads.
The Indians, farmers, and canal owners also
don’t want the railroads because it’s noisy, more
people get hurt, and it scares horses and other
animals. Many more people shall use it and they
might lose business, as well.
I want it because you can shut down the
business or not, but if you do you can work for the
train. Also I would like to put in beds for the people
on the train as well. It gets people places faster and
if I get the money I will make the train better for
the people.
If I don’t get the money oh well but, we as a
community shall vote for the train or not. So if the
people complain let them but if we get the trains
NO MORE COMPLAINING.
Sincerely,
Ted Judah
