August 27 they had their first game in Camden Frontier. The Panthers
started off the season with a 44-0 win over Camden. On September 7th
they faced off with Pittsford at Pittsford. Though a hard fought game, the
Panthers came out on top 32-12. Senior Michael Massey rushed for 156
yards and two touchdowns on just six carries against Pittsford. Junior Steven
Williams also broke a 16 yard touchdown run. Also Senior Trevor Haas had
a four-yard plunge for a touchdown. This Friday night the Panthers will host
Bellevue in our home opener at Big Blue Stadium.

Sideline Cheer
By: Caitlin Hartman
This year’s Sideline Cheer team has gained several new cheer members. The captains for this year are senior, Courtney Cochran and
sophomore, Megan Smith.
The team this year has doubled in size and has more than twice as
many new-comers. The team has overcome a lot from last year. “I
personally feel that the team has made great progress from last year
and that we all look really good together”. Megan Smith said. The
team members this year are Mallory Holloman, Kiah Gibbs, Jameela
Jones, Daisy Tyler, Taylor Forward, Emily Fee, Ashley Pyle, Meagan
Latty, Taylor Piper, Darion Bartholomew, and Amanda Woods.
Girls Varsity Volleyball
By: Allison Shau
The girls were whipped into shape late this
summer to prepare for their season. After enduring harsh practices the girls were ready to
play. Despite their tough early matchups vs.
St.Phil and other power house teams, the Panthers were ready for their level match-up. Earlier in the week the girls headed to Homer. The
squad went (2-3) on Tuesday. “We played
okay,” said Amanda Brown. “We need to work
on our enthusiasm and confidence. We were
beating ourselves making mistake after mistake. Our passing was inconsistent, so if we
can work on that we will be hard to
beat.” Looking to bring those assets to the next
match, the Panthers came up short losing both
of their matches to Camden-Frontier. “We
need to work on our communication,” said
Chloe. The squad is excited about this Saturdays tournament and hopes to have a good
turn out,. Come support the girls this Saturday.
JV Football
By: Rusty Davis
The 2010 Climax-Scotts JV football team has gotten off to a great
start for the season. Their record is currently 2-0. The Panthers shut out Camden
Frontier in a dominating 60 to 0 victory in
their first game. For the second game they
had another big victory against Pittsford
beating them with a score of 48 to 8. The
next game is against Bellevue which is
thought to be a good game, but you will
just have to see for yourself.
Cross Country
By: David Lodes

since the start of the season, one at Lawton
and one at a Kalamazoo City Invitational.
The Team did well at the Lawton Meet placing at 6th, 14th and 21st overall. The Team
also ran well at the Invitational. The team
currently consists of Coach Dave Lodes,
Captain David Lodes, Tyler Dougherty,
Conner Edwards, Isaac Swager, and the
