The Side by Side Network

The Side by Side Network
Share your experience to help
improve mental health services
Use your experience of mental health care to help others
When it comes to improving our GP-based services in Islington, we know it is
important to listen to you and use your experience to help us in making decisions.
Together we can create a world-class mental health service but we need your help
to do it.
We have created a new network called Side by Side which gives people who
provide, use or have used our mental health services the opportunity to speak to
us about their experiences. This is your chance to have your say and to make a real
difference in developing our GP-based services. We will listen to you and together
we will better understand what works and what doesn’t and use this knowledge to
constantly improve services.
Getting involved
By joining The Side by Side Network you can get involved by giving your views
through phone calls, letters, emails, questionnaires and events where key issues
will be discussed.
Building on your skills and interests
The Side by Side Network is not a one-way street. Not only will you have a
fantastic opportunity to share your experiences for the betterment of local care, you
will also gain employment training and social opportunities locally that will help you
develop new skills and gain confidence.
Who can join the network?
