AUTHORIZE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM SEIZED ASSETS RESERVE ACCOUNT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM – SHERIFF’S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office receives funds from drug case forfeitures, that must
be used for specific purposes, such as purchasing equipment to enhance the law enforcement mission, and
WHEREAS, unauthorized entrance and theft has been an issue at the Sheriff’s Office Evidence Storage
Facility due to its secluded location, and
WHEREAS, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office finds the need to utilize these funds to fund the
purchase of a video surveillance system for the Evidence Storage Facility to protect property, and enhance the
ability to deliver quality services to the residents of the county, and
WHEREAS, said funds are available in the Seized Assets Reserve Account, and approved purchasing
procedures will be followed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Schuyler County Treasurer is hereby authorized to
make the following transfer:

FOR
2017-2018-
WHEREAS, the 2017-2018 Alternatives to Incarceration plan and budget encompassing the programs of
Community Service and Pre-Trial Release has been developed and reviewed by the Criminal Justice Advisory
Council, and
WHEREAS, the Schuyler County Probation Department is eligible to receive up to $2,653.28 in state
aid to assist in operating the Community Service Program and $833.78 in state aid to assist in operating the PreTrial Release Program, and
WHEREAS, there is no significant change to the ATI plan with the exception of reduction in funding
received by the state from the previous year, and that the ATI plan is due to New York State Office of Probation
and Correctional Alternatives by June 2, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2017-2018 Alternatives to Incarceration Service
Plan and Budget be hereby approved by the Schuyler County Legislature for the contract period of July 1, 2017
through June 30, 2018, and the Chairman be authorized to sign the plan, subject to approval of the Schuyler
County Attorney, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Criminal Justice Advisory Council shall submit the same to the
New York State Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives for final approval once reviewed by the
Schuyler County Attorney, and signed by the Chairman of the Legislature.

AUTHORIZE CONTRACT WITH WTH TECHNOLOGY, INC. FOR THINK GIS
SOFTWARE – EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Emergency Management Office wishes to enter into an one year support
agreement for the 911 Center’s mapping program with WTH Technology, Inc., and
WHEREAS, this agreement will provide Client Support to cover the Think GIS Software
installed in the 911 Center and Emergency Management, and
WHEREAS, the cost for the one year agreement is $2,500.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Legislature be
hereby authorized to execute a contract with WTH Technology, Inc. for the Emergency
Management Office for Client Support for the term July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, funding
available in the 2017 Emergency Management/911 Budget account no. 3020.400, subject to
approval of the Schuyler County Attorney.
