Class Information









If you leave class early, it counts as an absence.
You need shut off, beepers, cell phones, pace makers, ect. Before coming to class.
You are responsible for everything said/covered in lecture.
Any handouts or exams given out in class that you lose will not be replaced.
You need to follow exactly the procedure for labeling your exam sheets. If not followed, the exam will not be
graded.
No incompletes will be given by me.
If the student cheats, automatic F in the course!!!
There will be no talking in class during lecture. If you do, you will be kicked out of class with an F.
Students are responsible for any changes in the syllabus done in class.
Academic Dishonesty Policy and Penalty for Violation:
Academic dishonesty includes the following actions, as well as other similar conduct aimed at making false
representation with respect to the student’s academic performance.
(1) Cheating on an exam.
(2) Collaborating with others on work to be presented, if contrary to the stated rules of the course.

 Students will have 29 individual lab orals to complete.
 Lab notebook due at the end of the semester.
 Students will dissect 12 animals.

Class Policies
Attendance: Professors are required to take attendance.
Tardees and absences will destroy your final grade. The more you miss class/late to class, the more it will negatively
affect your final grade in class. Three tardees count for one absence. You are allowed only 2 absences in the class.
Students have had their final grade dropped by more than one letter grade, due to tardees/absences.
Electronic Device Use and Email Policy:
ELECTRONIC DEVICE USE All electronic devices such as cell phones, beepers, and related devices are to be turned off
before entering the classroom, library, and laboratories to avoid disruption. Use of any device in these areas is a
violation of college policy and subject to disciplinary action. If you text in class, your cell phone will be taken and
returned later.
College computers are intended for academic work. Inappropriate use of computers during class time is prohibited. You
should understand that you may be required to use the Internet for some courses. Furthermore, you may be required
to have discussions of class assignments and share papers and other class materials with instructors and classmates via
chat rooms and other mechanisms. Therefore, Internet users may be able to access your work whether the access is
secured or unsecured. The College cannot protect you from the type of materials on the Internet or the potential piracy
of your materials.
Students can enter into contact with the professor by e mail, but students should not expect an immediate reply. I
check my e mail NO MORE THAN once a day, and occasionally you may have to wait two days for a reply.
Late Assignment Policy:
All assignments can be turned in via notebook through the last day of Finals Week.
Make-up Exam Policy:
Students can make up exams through the last Finals Week.
Withdrawal Policy:
Students can withdrawl from class up to the last day of the withdrawl period, designated by the college.

Students will demonstrate respect for professors and fellow students. Behavior that is disruptive to a positive learning environment
reported by the professor will result in a warning on the first instance; the second instance might result in expulsion from the course
or campus.
Computer Competency Component
Each student will, to the satisfaction of the professor, demonstrate a fundamental understanding of basic computer operations
through various professor-determined exercises and/or assignments.

Eating and drinking are confined to areas designated on the campus. Smoking is not permitted in any College building and only in
areas designated at each campus.
Final Course Grade Appeal
The evaluation of academic work is the responsibility of the faculty member/instructor. The method for assigning the final course
grade is established by the faculty member/instructor. Per Board Rule 6Hx-18-3.191, faculty/instructors shall communicate the
grading policy of the course to their students in writing. If this policy changes during the term, students should be notified of any
changes in writing. The method to determine final course grades must be given to students in a course syllabus at the beginning of
the class. Should a student have a question about a final course grade, please follow the procedures as outlined in the student

Mid-Term Grade Reporting
Within one week after the close of the mid-term grading period, mid-term grades will be made available to all students for each
class by either written notification or individual conference.
Student Responsibility Policy
When a student attends the College, s/he becomes subject to its jurisdiction. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a
responsible manner, in all areas of campus life. By enrolling, they pledge to obey the rules and regulations of the College and are

Withdrawal Policy for Individual Courses
The last day to withdraw from a College course with a "W" grade in this course is (Click here and type the withdrawal date for your
course from the online class roster). It is the responsibility of the student to use the PantherWeb system or visit a campus Registrar’s
office to withdraw. An official withdrawal entitles the student to a grade of "W" in the class.
