Granola Submitted by Tammie Christian, WATCH 4 Cups of regular or quick oats 1/2 Cup of flaxseed milled 1/4 Cup of wheat germ 1 Cup of unsweetened coconut 1 Cup of slivered almonds 1 Cup of sunflower seeds 1/2 Cup of brown sugar 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 Cup of veg oil 1/2 to 3/4 Cup of honey 1 teaspoon Vanilla Mix and bake in uncovered roaster. It will be lumpy because of honey but when you pull it out the honey softens and it is easier to mix. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes & stir every 10 minutes. Then add 1 cup of raisins or cranberries. (I add both banana chips and craisins) I t calls for 3/4 cup of oil and 1/2 cup of honey but there are so many more calories in oil then honey so I switch them.
