St. Mary Catholic Schools Auction and Carnival
February 2017
Dear Parents,
Sunday, April 2nd is fast approaching, and things are coming together for the auction/carnival. All families
will receive a worker list with this letter. Students (4th -12th) and one parent per school family are scheduled to
work. High School students can receive community service hours—be sure to check in by signing the board by
the office and the carnival committee will also be checking the work areas. Please find own replacement if
unable to fill your shift and notify committee of change.
We also ask each family to bring the item that has been identified below according to the first letter of your last
name for the lunch counter along with a decorated cake or cookies for the cakewalk. Cakes for the cakewalk
should be dropped off in the Religion room.
A thru K -- 8 pkgs of cookies or bars, packaged 2 per bag AND a decorated cake for the cakewalk
L thru Z -- one pie (more cream filled pies would be nice) AND a decorated cake for the cakewalk
Please bring baked items by 9:30am on Sunday, April 2nd.
Raffle ticket and hog chance sales should be well under way. If you have tickets sold, please fill out the
recording sheet and bring the completed tickets with their money to the school office by Wednesday, March
29th. Prizes will be awarded for the top family seller of the hog chances. Please return any leftover raffle
tickets as well. We will use them the day of the auction.
Human Bingo will have two great prizes again this year.

PRESENTATION SISTERS
Catholic School Scholarship
The Presentation Sisters have served in the education field in the Midwest since
1880. Throughout the years the Sisters taught in many rural parish schools in
South Dakota, Montana and Minnesota. Today the Presentation Sisters continue
their commitment to Catholic education in a variety of ways. Besides their dedication to Presentation College, the
Presentation Leadership Camp and other educational programs for youth and adults, they support Catholic
Schools especially in the diocese of Sioux Falls, SD. To forward their commitment to Catholic education and to
help create a legacy benefiting Catholic education into the future, the Presentation Sisters established the Presentation
Sisters Catholic School Scholarship.
