Meeting Notes 3/20/12
Bake Sale
o Our next bake sale is this Thursday 3/22/12 from 9am-3pm
o The theme will Spring
 Please make sure your bake goods are consistent with this theme
o We will be needing:
 Coke products
 Individually wrapped baked goods
 Individual bags of chips
 AND YOUR TIME!!
o You will receive 10 points for every hour you work the bake sale and/or 10 points for
every item you bring to the bake sale
o We will also need help setting up from 8-9am (meet in the Psi Chi office) and breaking
down from 3-4pm
Graduation Materials
o There is a signup sheet to order graduation materials in the Psi Chi office and we will
also bring it to our next meeting
o If you would like to order graduation materials you must do so by APRIL 2!
 This is to ensure that they will arrive by inductions
Inductions
o New Psi Chi members, new Psychology Club members, and graduating seniors receiving
graduation materials will be honored at the induction ceremony
o If you would to attend and you are one of the above please RSVP via the survey sent out
yesterday by APRIL 6
o Please keep in mind that we will also be needing volunteers
 If you are being honored at the ceremony you can volunteer before and after
the ceremony
 If you are not being honored you can volunteer before, after, and during
(helping serve food)
 You will receive 10 points per hour worked (which will be applied to next
semester’s dues)
National Dues
o National dues are required for first semester Psi Chi members
o We do not get this money, it is sent off to the national office to pay for your induction
materials and lifetime membership
o These dues are $45 and are required to be inducted
Chapter Dues
o Chapter dues amount are based on the number of points you have for the semester
o The last day to get points for this semester is April 10 (if you are going to SWPA you will
receive points)
o We will post everyone’s points on April 16; the dues are dues at our meeting April 17
Wristbands
o We have ordered Psi Chi wristbands and we are selling them for $2 each
o You may come by the office anytime to purchase them, we will also bring them to
meetings to sell as well
Important Dates:
3/21/12 – Last day to register for SWPA
3/22/12 – Spring Themed Bake Sale
3/27/12 – Next meeting (required for SWPA attendees)
4/2/12 – Deadline to order grad materials
4/3/12 – Meeting (National Dues are due)
4/6/12 – Last day to RSVP to Inductions
4/10/12 – Last day to get points for the semester
4/11/12 – 4/14/12 – SWPA
4/17/12 – Meeting (Chapter Dues are due)
4/20/12 - Inductions
