2011-2012 HEALTH PROFILES
This health profile provides information on key health topics for the approximately 27,796,000 adults (ages
18 and over) in California by racial/ethnic group. The racial/ethnic group definition used in this profile creates
all groups, with the exception of Latino, as non-Hispanic. The Latino category combines all persons who
identified as Latino regardless of race. Estimates are based on the 2011-2012 California Health Interview
Survey (CHIS).
