75) Selling suckers (or another candy) at a bar in the summer with a Shinerama sticker on
the wrapper
76) Giving out Shinerama stickers at the bar
78) Float helium-filled balloons in your student centre atrium
79) Rent a hot-air balloon with a Shinerama logo (alright we’re stretching here, too)
80) Paint windows of local businesses and malls (get their permission, though)
81) Make Shinerama Friend/Sponsor plaques for major sponsors and them get them to
put them up in their place of business
82) Hand out little Shinerama business cards with cystic fibrosis facts, and web site
address for donations to everyone who walks into a summer concert
83) Try to get some free things (like suntan lotion samples) and stick on a Shinerama
sticker and give them to everyone
84) You could cover those IKEA (3 for $3) frames with stickers and sell them during
Shinerama to the shiners for their pictures. (Perhaps not for publicity, however I'm sure
that everyone will love it!)
85) Sell/Give away orange and blue Freezies with Shinerama stickers on it to children on
hot days in your city. Even better go around to the summer classes on campus too.
86) For a photo-op, shine something famous in your city (i.e. the parliament stairs in
Ottawa, big Nickel in Sudbury, the big boot in Edmonton, etc.)
87) Announce your event or your coming event over the PA at things like malls, stadiums,
etc.
88) Send flyers home with local elementary and secondary schools - maybe get them to
participate and get a challenge going
89) Flyers as an insert in local papers. Don’t forget to add web site for donations.

90) Obtain a mention in your school’s registration package going to all students or on the
registration Web site.
