Paris to Reims - On arrival transfer to the Champagne
region. Enjoy a scenic drive to Épernay and visit a
famous champagne house for a tour and tasting.

Overnight: Le Château de Rilly (D)
MON 24 Reims to Amiens - Journey to the French battlefields
of the Somme. Visit some of the most famous sights
including the Australian 2nd Division Memorial and
the remains of the trenches at Mont St-Quentin.
Overnight: Hotel Campanile Amiens (or similar) (B,L)
TUE 25 Amiens & Anzac Day - Today join the dawn service at
the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux. Enjoy
breakfast with the local people of the village of Hamel.
Walk the battlefield with a historian and visit the
Victoria School and Museum, the imposing Lochnagar
Mine Crater and the Pozières battlefields.
Overnight: Hotel Campanile Amiens (or similar) (B)
WED 26 Amiens to Chartres - Travel to Chartres to visit the
famous 13th century cathedral and the charming town.
Dinner tonight is at your château.
Overnight: Le Château d’Esclimont (B,D)
THU 27 Chartres to Loire Valley - Travel to the scenic Loire
Valley for lunch and a wine tasting. Visit the royal
Château de Chambord with its Louis XIV interiors.
Overnight: Château de la Bourdaisière (B,L)
FRI 28 Loire Valley - Visit the 16th century Château de
Chenonceau with its incredible interiors and stunning
gardens. Travel on to Amboise where you’ll visit
Château du Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci lived
for the last three years of his life from 1516 to 1519.
Overnight: Château de la Bourdaisière (B,D)
SAT 29 Loire Valley - Explore Château de Villandry with
gardens considered by many to be the best in
the world. Enjoy lunch with wine tasting at a local
restaurant. Journey on to Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, an
incredible moated château with magnificent gardens.

SUN 30 Loire Valley to Paris - Today, visit the historic and
picturesque town of Blois before heading for Paris
where you will join your chosen river cruise. Please see
