If more than twice the number to be elected file for candidacy, a Municipal Primary Election will be held on Aug11, 2015. The filing period for candidacy is June 1st -5th Mon-Thurs 7:30 am-5:30 pm and Fri 8 am-5 pm, and Mon, June 8th 7:30 am to 5 pm. To qualify for candidacy, a person must be a United States citizen at time of filing, be a registered voter of the municipality, be a resident of the municipality or a resident of a recently-annexed area for a period of 365 consecutive days immediately preceding the date of election, and not be a convicted felon.
