POLL WORKERS NEEDED: Pleasant Grove City is looking for poll workers to help conduct the upcoming
municipal election process. Workers will be needed on the following days:
 Tuesday August11, 2015 Primary Election (If needed)
 Tuesday November 3, 2015 General Election
In order to be a poll worker you must be 18 years of age and a registered voter. We are using electronic voting
machines this year so you are required to attend a mandatory training on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 9:00
a.m. or 1:00 p.m. in the Utah County Municipal Building, Provo Utah. If you are interested in being a poll

Pleasant Grove City 2015
Municipal Elections:
Pleasant Grove City will hold a nonpartisan Municipal General Election on
Nov 3, 2015 to elect three Council
Members to serve four-year terms of
office. If more than twice the number to
be elected file for candidacy, a Municipal
Primary Election will
be held on Aug11, 2015.
The filing period for candidacy is June
1st -5th Mon-Thurs 7:30 am-5:30 pm
and Fri 8 am-5 pm, and Mon, June 8th
7:30 am to 5 pm. To qualify for
candidacy, a person must be a United
States citizen at time of filing, be a
registered voter of the municipality, be a
resident of the municipality or a resident
of a recently-annexed area for a period of
365 consecutive days immediately
preceding the date of election,
and not be a convicted felon.

Utah Children's Choir celebrates
30th Anniversary! The choir has one more
performance this season for Pleasant
Grove City, Concert in the Park on June
14 at 7:30 pm. We hope you will join us
on the lawn by the P.G. Community
Center. Admission is free.

At The Library SUMMER READING
PROGRAM starts the
ary
week of June 8. Kids of all ages welcome. Opening party,
“Superhero Training Camp” June 9th and 10th.
Children’s Hero Theater K-6 grade. Thur, June 4-July 22. 1-3
pm. Eight-week program teaches the fundamentals of drama,
singing, and dance. June 4, 2-hour class with auditions in our
Hero theme play, “Robin Hood.” Sign up at the library.
“Every Hero has a Story” Program: Ages 3-9.
Sign up with your card online, or at the library.
Tweens: “Unmask”: Ages 10-12. Wed at 3 p.m. Sign up
online or at the library. Kick-off on June 10 at 3 p.m.
Teens: Earn prizes and enter into a drawing for $50 gift cards.
Complete the Teen gamecard, on June 5 at the library or online.
Summer Activities on Fri evenings. Free for all teens in junior
and Sr high school. No registration needed. Event dates: June
5, 6:30- 9 pm-Kick-off Party. June 19, 6:30 pm-The Science of
Superheroes. July 3, 6:30 pm-Movie: Man of Steel.
Fundamentals of Computer Programming: six-week course
ages 13 to 18. Learning how to program a computer. This free
class meets Wed from 6:30- 8:30 pm and starts June 3rd.
Adults: “Escape The Ordinary”: Adult reading program.
cards available June 8th.
Special Class for Adults: June 11th at 7 pm, “Escape: Your
Finances” Presented by Jen Lyman.

Strawberry Days Regency Tea Party with
author Julianne Donaldson of Blackmoore and Edenbrooke,
Regency romances. Join the library in celebrating reading and
authors with this fundraising tea party on Thurs, June 18, noon2 pm at The Bungalow. Enjoy a light lunch, a silent auction,
and talk to Julianne herself as she mingles, chats, and signs
books. Regency dress encouraged. Cost $25. Tickets can be
purchased at the P G Library until June 8 or sold out. Seating
is limited, so reserve your spot today! All proceeds will benefit
the library as we develop and improve our children's room.

Center Stage Youth Performers
are registering now for a series of
summer camps. Classes are being offered in
acting, dance, auditioning, and voice. There will
even be a mini production camp for those that
want to do it all. All classes are held at the Lions
Club in Pleasant Grove (600 E. Center).

On Saturday, May 16th, the fire department held the
annual Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast. This was our 55th
year of hosting this event. The support was
overwhelming. Thanks for your support this
year and we hope to see you next year!

The Police and Fire Departments are hosting the
Strawberry Days Guns and Hoses 5K and Kid’s ½ mile
race again this year on June 20th. Sign up at pgcity.org.
Literacy Center Summer Session has openings for
students grades K and up and volunteer tutors ages 12 and
