Ei follows a soft s sound (mostly after c) to make an ee sound Examples: ceiling, deceit, conceive, seize, receive, receipt, perceive Spring 1: adjectives that end in ‘ant’ 1. Some adjectives end in ‘ant’ rather than ‘ent’.
