Upper Dart Lantern Making
Workshop
On Wednesday, Andrew Bailey and
Emma ran a lantern making
workshop as part of this year’s
Lantern
walk. The
class had
lots of
fun and
were extremely
creative
with their
designs and poetry.
Andrew hopes that you might be
able to join him on 10th October at
Pullabrook Wood where there will be
workshops during the day and a
lantern walk in the evening. This is a
free event, tickets can be booked
through: http://wildwoodslanternwalk.brownpapertickets.com or see
the attached letter for more details.
Drumming lessons
Alex Chew, our drumming instructor,
gave an inspiring demonstration in
our assembly on Monday. If your
child would like drumming lessons,
you can collect a registration from
reception which has information on
fees. Alex also provides private
lessons at home.
Guitar Lessons
Andrew Crawford comes into school
to teach guitar on Tuesdays and has
some spaces available if your child
is interested in taking lessons.
Clubs Next Week
There will be no DT club this Monday
due to staff training. However, Abi will
still be running the Library club.

Friends’ News
I hope you and your children are busy getting sponsors for the Fun Run which is only 2
weeks away. You will notice that there is a Gift Aid box to tick on the sponsorship form.
Friends have registered to claim Gift Aid back on donations and sponsorship received. As
a result we can reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that you give. If you or any other sponsors
tick the box headed 'Gift Aid' on the Fun Run sponsorship form you must be a UK Income
or Capital Gains Tax payer and must pay an amount of Tax in the tax year at least equal
to the amount of tax that all the charities you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that
tax year.
Don’t forget to come along to the AGM on Tuesday 28 th September at 7.30pm in the
school hall.
Best wishes
