What is YardBusters? YardBusters, operated by the nonprofit organization, Boulder County CareConnect, is a volunteer-­‐powered program that provides basic cleanup and yard maintenance to seniors and adults with disabilities. The goal of YardBusters is to reduce the risk of falls and accidents for seniors who are unable to maintain their own yards. ______________________________________________________________________________
Services
YardBusters offers two types of services: 1) 2016 Silver Cleanup Days Silver Cleanup Days are one-­‐day cleanup events in the spring and autumn. Spring Cleanup: A team of volunteers will spend up to 4 hours at your home cleaning up remnants of winter, trimming overgrown bushes, and preparing for the season. You provide the rake, lawn mower, tools, bags for leaves, string for bundling branches, etc. • 2016 Spring Cleanup Dates: Sat. April 16; Sat. May 7; Sat. May 14; and Sun. May 15. Fall Cleanup: In early November, volunteers will rake leaves and trim bushes to get yards ready for winter. Check the Boulder County CareConnect website this summer for information on how to sign up for the Fall Silver Cleanup. 2) Adopt-­‐A-­‐Senior’s Yard A volunteer “adopts” your yard for the summer and helps you with yard chores and simple yard maintenance. Although we aren’t a full-­‐service lawn or yard maintenance company, our volunteers are available to help you for a few hours at least once per month from May through September. If you need a bit of extra help keeping your yard under control, YardBusters might be the perfect service for you. ______________________________________________________________________________

Fees
YardBusters services are intended for older adults who are in need. Powered by volunteers, this service is provided at no cost for those who cannot pay, through donations from those who can.
