SPANISH FOR HERITAGE-SPEAKERS
For students who have familiar knowledge of Spanish due to informal contact with the language.
This course is meant to help you understand how Spanish works and improve your oral and
writing skills. It applies to the Foreign Language Requirement, the Spanish major/minor, or
general university electives.

For students who completed Spanish 2312 or 2313, 4 HS years, or for advanced heritage
speakers interested in developing conversation skills in Spanish. It applies to the Foreign
Language Requirement, the Spanish major/minor, or general electives

SPANISH AMERICAN LITERATURE II
For students with advanced proficiency, interested in Latin American literature.
It applies to the Spanish major/minor or to general university electives.
It satisfies the Literature requirement in the UNIVERISITY CORE CURRICULUM.

SPANISH PHONETICS
For students with advanced proficiency, interested in the Spanish sound system. Recommended
for future teachers of Spanish and Bilingual Education. It applies to the Foreign Language
Requirement, the Spanish major/minor or, to general university electives.

SPANISH GRAMMAR
TR 11 – 12:15
For students with advanced proficiency, interested in improving their formal knowledge of the
Spanish language. Recommended for future teachers of Spanish and Bilingual Ed. and students
interested in beginning training for a translation certificate. It applies to the Foreign Language
Requirement, the Spanish major/minor, or to general university electives.
