Song for Zimbabwe - A benefit concert for Tshelanyemba Hospital,
Zimbabwe will take place at the Temple on Saturday February 18th, 2017 at
7 PM. Performing will be the CBS Concert Band, CBS Jazz Band, Max
Ladies Choir, Newtown Elementary Choir and 440 Oboes. Tickets are $10
each and available from Ellen or Greg Peddle (364-3639).

Ministry Opportunity – Emergency Disaster Services are seeking
volunteers to assist us in the field. We welcome all skills and backgrounds
and will provide training to all volunteers. On Friday, January 27th, 7:00 p.m.,

Intro to Emotional & Spiritual Care, both are held at Divisional Headquarters

Timbrel Group for Congress - If you are 14 years of age and older and
are interested in participating in a Timbrel group for Congress, please

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY FOR 2017: The
Worship Service for this year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be
held at St. Pius X Parish (16 Smithville Crescent, St. John’s), this afternoon
at 3:00 p.m. This year marks the 500th Anniversary of the
Lutheran/Protestant Reformation. Bishops Martin Currie (Catholic) and Jeff
Peddle (Anglican) will give the joint sermon. Please plan to attend.

Prayer Shawl Ministry – Thursday, January 26th, 11:00 a.m., Fellowship
Room, St. John’s Temple. Please join us as we continue to knit and crochet
shawls and lap blankets for the sick in our church, our community, and any
other individual for whom a shawl is requested. We also knit/crochet baby
blankets for our newborns.
2017 Cartridges – Please pick up your 2017 Cartridges on the table in the
foyer. The YP Cartridges are in the Fellowship Room. Thank you!
Sauce & Sweets – The senior band is
hosting a Friendship Dinner on Saturday,
February 11, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.in the Temple
gym. Enjoy a spaghetti meal while listening to
musical entertainment. Also a dessert auction
will take place. Admission cost is $ 8 for
adults, $ 5 for children 12 and under, or $ 20
per family. Tickets are available from any
band member, or call Dwayne at 730-0600.
Proceeds will go towards new band
instruments.
Volunteer Appreciation Event - As a token of appreciation for all
who volunteered their time in the 2016 Christmas Kettle Campaign our PR

MEN'S FELLOWSHIP -Our next Men's Breakfast Meeting is scheduled
for Saturday, January 28th, 2017 - 9:00 AM @ The Wiseman Centre - 714
Water Street. We are very pleased to announce that Rob Lee will be our
special guest. We look forward to hearing what Rob will share from his
Christian experience, including how the ministry of music is such an

ILLUMINATE Young Adults Retreat will be happening February 17-19,
2017. This is for anyone in Grade 12 or older. It will take place at "The Wilds
Golf Resort" for the cost of $120.00. Special Guests will be Kevin & Sheryl
Slous from the Youth Department at THQ, and local worship leader Kathy
