Participation in the Night at the Museum event requires a certain amount of personal
responsibility for each participant. To maintain the health and safety of all participants, Girl
Scouts San Diego requires all participants to follow the code of conduct during the event. All
participants must turn in a signed agreement before attending the event.
As a participant of Night at the Museum:
 I will follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law and treat my sister Girl Scouts with respect.
 I will be sensitive to the needs of each participant and the event staff. I will respect the
event staff authority.
 I will obey all site rules and regulations established by the group and the museum.
 I understand that the museum alarm system is on throughout the night and will sound if I
attempt to leave the building. I agree not to leave the museum unless accompanied by an
adult volunteer in the extreme case of an emergency.
 I will be responsible for my own health and safety including, eating meals provided, getting
enough sleep/rest, taking medication as needed (if applicable) and will immediately notify
the event staff if I do not feel well or suspect a health problem.
 I will be responsible for keeping track of my personal belongings, taking care of event and
museum equipment and will not hold the council or museum responsible for the loss or
damage of my personal belongings. I will not bring anything of value to the event.
 I will listen carefully to all instructions and will observe all safety precautions for all
activities during this event.
 I understand that the use of alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes, and illegal drugs or misuse of
prescription drugs will not be tolerated, and that such usage during the event will result in
expulsion.
 I understand that if I am sent home early due to any serious misconduct, it will be my
parent/guardian’s responsibility to provide transportation.
My parents/guardians and I have thoroughly read and discussed the contents of the “Night at
the Museum Code of Conduct” and understand and agree to follow all them during this event.
