10:45 Build it right – choosing interesting and durable materials for your garden project
Society of Garden Designers (SGD) Chair Juliet Sargeant will give an illustrated talk on how to choose the best hard
landscaping materials for your garden. There is a wealth of natural and manmade products, but what will suit the
style of your project, the use the garden will have and the budget that you have available?
11:45 Coastal containers - low maintenance, high impact containers with a coastal theme, using succulents
Colourful succulents are great in a seaside setting, thriving in the high light levels and dry conditions. Find out which
are the best plants to grow and learn how to create original and stunning containers with a coastal theme with
Fiona Wemyss of Blueleaf Plants.
12:45 The alpine veg of Italy to sow now for the winter – with musical introduction on the accordion!
Paolo Arrigo of Franchi Seeds will tell you what to sow now for winter harvest. Franchi Seeds is the oldest family run
seed company in the world – it has been managed by seven generations of the same family since 1783.

Learn how RHS Wisley Trainee and Young Hort Director Jamie Butterworth, and RHS Wisley Trainee Ben Jones
designed, developed and delivered the coastal retreat for this show. Gain tips, tricks, and insider knowledge about
how a show feature is built. Learn about how to grow and maintain coastal plants.
14:45 Edible weeds and flowers… at the coast
Forager Claudio Bincoletto will discuss weeds and lesser known edible plants, as well as giving tips on how to forage
for ingredients and how to undertake "no trace foraging' … all with a coastal twist!
Coastal Retreat
Special for this show is our beautiful indoor coastal garden, designed and built by RHS Wisley Trainee and Young Hort
director Jamie Butterworth, with assistance from Wisley Trainee Ben Jones. Enjoy the coastal planting scheme,
complete with rowing boat and 450 coastal plants provided by Coblands. Relax on a Beachbum UK beanbag on our
sandy beach - made with eleven tonnes of real sand and pebbles all kindly supplied by Stone Warehouse.
Baldrick’s Plan
Visitors can also enjoy shanties and songs about fishing, sea battles and sea voyaging, sung by Baldrick’s Plan, a
three-man band, specialising in strong harmony singing of English traditional music.
RHS Growing Together Club
Are you keen to try your hand at growing plants but uncertain about how to start? Perhaps you do not have a garden or
open space and want to know if it’s possible to grow? If so, the Growing Together Club is for you. This month the RHS
gardening team will teach you how to grow and care for your very own Pak choi. Join the Growing Together Club today!

Clarkshaws Brewing Company can tell you all about the malts and hops used in the production of their beers and how
they create different colours and favours from changing combinations of ingredients. Samples of malts and hops are
available for the public to touch and taste.

WORKSHOP Drop in to the free interactive Doodle Club and draw a garden picture for our wall or take it home with you!
Edith Serkovich Massage will be offering 15 minute mini treatments using Neal's Yard Remedies. Choose from head, neck,

WORKSHOP
Join in a flower arranging workshop with the London and Overseas Area of the National Association of
Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS).
WORKSHOP Marguerite Potter is offering 'Make Your Own Terrarium' sessions, including step-by-step instructions and
an aftercare guide. Make your own miniature terrarium to take home with you!
Fungal delights will be available at The Mushroom Table, where you can also learn how to make a mushroom log.
Pimento Hill will be discussing the origins and history of the ingredients in their Jamaican products and how they can be
used and enjoyed.
Talk to Plants4Presents about how to grow your own curry - learn about the wonderful exotic herbs and spices you can
grow on a patio or windowsill in the UK.
Purbeck Plants will be providing growing tips, especially on urban gardening.
The Society of Garden Designers is providing free garden design consultations with professional designers. Drop into the
clinic!
The Wee Tea Company will demonstrate how you pick tea leaves, dry them and make them into high quality tea at home.
