Wendy’sSubwayReadingRoomatBardGraduateCenterwillpromoteengagementwith artists’books,periodicals,andotherpublicationsselectedfortheirrelationshiptothespring exhibitionsandpublicprogramming.Aseriesofreadingsandwritingworkshopsthatgather togethersomeoftheboldestvoicesfrompoetry,literature,andperformancewillaccompanythe installation.Overthecourseoftheinstallation,visitorsareinvitedtodropoffbookstheywould likeincludedintheReadingRoom.Admissiontothereadingroomisfree,asisthewifi.Itwillbe openduringallpublichours.Booksuggestionsmayalsobeofferedviaafeedbackboxinthe Gallery. Over the course of their residency with us Wendy’s Subway will be seeking submissions for an upcoming publication, which will address the potential of ritual under capital. Wendy’sSubwayisoperatedbyits membershipofpoets,curators,novelists, artists,andcriticswithaninterestinhybrid formsandcross‐disciplinarydiscourse.
