Mr. Gilbert Matheson’s horse ran
aw ay on Monday, throwing him out
of the buggy and giving him a bad
shaking up. His shoulder was knock­
ed out of joint.
The funeral of the infant daughter
of Mr. Archie McQuarrie took place to
the cemetery here on Tuesday after­
noon,
Mr. Amos Shunk is at present quite
ill, suffering with inflammation of the
throat.
The meeting of the Ladies’ Aid of
the Lutheran Church was held at the
residence of Mrs. N. Shunk on W ed­
nesday of last week. Quite a large
number1 were present.
Both of the teachers in the Public
School have been re-engaged for an­
other year.
Thanksgiving Day passed quietly,
the village being almost devoid of visi­
tors. A few sports—men from Toron­
to—were in the vicinity but report
game very scarce and so went hunting
