On Saturday, October 7, 2017, I will be joining hundreds to run the 8th Annual
Break Free Run Folsom – The Race to End Human Trafficking. My goal is to cross
the finish line, and feel great that race profits and funds raised by me will go
toward efforts to combat human trafficking.
3Strands Global Foundation is a nonprofit established to mobilize communities to
combat human trafficking through prevention education and reintegration
programs. Human trafficking is a $150-billion-dollar industry globally with at
least 100,000 children exploited annually in the United States. 3Strands Global
Foundation provides human trafficking awareness events and Break Free Runs
to mobilize local communities in the fight against human trafficking. 3Strands
Global Foundation also delivers prevention education in the classroom to educate
students about the risks of human trafficking and how to avoid victimization. In
addition to prevention education, 3Strands Global Foundation helped reintegrate
35 survivors and at-risk youth into jobs at the Golden 1 Center in Downtown
Sacramento.
The 3Strands Global Foundation vision is a world free from human trafficking.
Human trafficking and modern day slavery are NOT OK, and 3Strands Global
Foundation believes everyone can DO SOMETHING. So even though I am not
required to fundraise, I want to support this organization and combat human
trafficking. That is why I am asking my friends and family to contribute. Please
