HOW TO MAKE ROSE QUARTZ BATH BOMBS What You'll Need to Make About 10 Bath Bombs: 6 Stainless Steel Bath Bomb Molds 4 cups Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) 2 cups Citric Acid 2 cups Pink Sea Salt (Medium) 2 oz. Coconut Oil 0.4 oz. Polysorbate 80 12 mL Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil Witch Hazel in Spray Bottle 1 tsp. Rose Gold Mica 1 Tbs. 99% Isopropyl Alcohol Instructions: ONE: In a large bowl, combine the sodium bicarbonate and citric acid. Use your hands or a mesh strainer to remove any clumps. Citric acid has a tendency to take off nail polish, so wear gloves to protect your manicure. TWO: Add the pink sea salt and mix in with your hands or spatula. THREE: Fully melt the coconut oil and add it to the mixture. Add the Polysorbate 80 and Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil. FOUR: Mix the dry and wet ingredients together until there are no clumps. This can take some time, so keep mixing! Using your hands usually works best for this step, but you can also use a whisk or spoon. FIVE: Once all the ingredients are combined, check the moisture level of your fizzies. When squeezed with your hand, the mixture should hold its shape. If not, add spritzes of witch hazel and mix until it has a texture similar to wet sand. Because this is such a big batch, you may need more witch hazel than usual. SIX: Now it's time to fill the molds! This part can be a little tricky and does take some patience. The key is to loosely pack the mixture into the molds. When you press the two halves together, the mixture will compress and create a nice round shape. Fill one half of the Stainless Steel Bath Bomb Mold with bath bomb mixture and very lightly pack it in. Then, do the same with the other half of the mold. Finally, overfill each mold with mixture. The unpacked "loose" mixture on top acts as the glue that holds the two sides together. SEVEN: Press the two halves of the Stainless Steel Bath Bomb Mold firmly together until both sides meet. Gently twist one side of the bath bomb mold and lift up and off. With the bottom half of the mold still on, set the bath bomb aside and allow it to harden for several hours or up to overnight. Continue filling up each bath bomb mold until all the mixture is used. EIGHT: Once the bath bombs are firm, remove the bottom half of the mold by gently twisting. Now it’s time to paint the hearts! Mix 1 tsp. of the Rose Gold Mica into 1 Tbsp. of the 99% isopropyl alcohol. Use a fine pointed paint brush to paint a heart in the center of each bath bomb. Allow to dry. Once the bath fizzies are completely firm, they are ready to use! Drop one into a hot tub and enjoy.
